Q: What is the minimum age requirement?

A: 18 years old, with a valid driver's license

Q: Do you offer ATV's for minors?

A: Right now, insurance is ASTRONOMICAL on minors, since most

seriously injured riders are minors.  We may offer this in the future, but for

right now, our ATV's are for rent for ADULTS only.

Q: Can I double (have a passenger)?

A: NO PASSENGERS. OPERATOR ONLY.  Statistically, injuries are much more

likely when more than one person is on an ATV in action.  It wasn't designed

for more than one person, doesn't handle right, is more top-heavy, and since

operating an ATV is an interactive action (requires proper movement from its

operator), it is more likely to end up out of control, in a ditch, off a cliff, etc. and thus

RUINING your vacation and/or much worse.

Q: Okay, once I PAY, when can I PLAY? (in accordance to

reservation dates)

A: After you have signed off on the Insurance Statement, ATV Condition Statement,

Time-Schedule Statement & Rider-Safety Statements.  We will also give you a

thorough explanation of how to physically and safely operate the ATV.

Q: Am I limited to any one trailhead?

A: NOPE.  As far as we're concerned, you can ride ANYWHERE in the

continental USA, as long as its LEGAL and as long as you have it back to us by

 the set time/date.

Q: What if I'm late picking the ATV up?

A: There's no discount for delays or no-shows, since the

ATV is still spoken for regardless of whether or not

it is being used.

Q: What if I'm late bringing it back?

A: Since you have use of the quad for 24hrs, you will be

charged a $100 late fee for 1-4HRS late, and a FULL DAY if its greater than

4HRS late.

Q: What if I have to cancel my reservation?

A: If you cancel your reservation two weeks or further in advance, you get a full refund but

will be charged a $35 processing fee.  If cancellation is later than two weeks, there is NO REFUND on the

rental period, only the security deposit.  Why?  Because most reservations are done 2 weeks or

longer in advance.  So if you cancel later than 2 weeks into the rental period, it is almost

a guarantee that the ATV will NOT be rented during this time, causing us to lose a full

week of rental fees.

Q: What does the insurance policy cover?

A: First off, it covers any damage to the ATV over $1000.  You're basically

paying $15 per day of rent for a full-coverage insurance policy on the ATV

minus a $1000 deductible.  This means the most you'll pay in damages

to the ATV is $1000.  Along with that, it covers up to $25,000 in liabilities.  So if you crash

into a parked vehicle, or a fence, or a house, you are covered for up to $25,000.  This

also covers the state-limits on collision.  As a bonus, you are covered for up to $500 for

any personal injuries sustained while operating the ATV.

Q: Is there any extra charge if I bring it back dirty? Empty?

A: . Basically, bring the ATV back in the SAME condition it was in when

you picked it up, and you won't be charged one red cent.  Some of our

pickup facilities are equipped with a pressure-washer which is FREE for

your use on our ATV.  Otherwise, you can take it to a car-wash and have it cleaned

up in less than 15 minutes.  It doesn't have to be hot-waxed, just clean.  If the ATV

is brought back dirty, a $25 fee will be taken from your security deposit.  As for the gas,

we give it to you FULL, bring it back FULL, or we'll take a FLAT $20 fee out of your

security deposit.  Most of my pickup facilities aren't equipped with gas-pumps, so

there's no way of charging you a per-gallon price, its just $20 if its not FULL like it was

when you picked it up. You will be responsible for supplying your own gas during your

rental period, so make sure you bring an extra fuel tank.

Q: When do I get my security deposit back?

A: Upon thorough inspection of ATV, in accordance to the

ATV Condition Statement, we will either send a

certified check in the mail, or we will credit the

amount back to the credit/debit card that was used for the rental

fees within 7-20 business days. If there is damage, we

will have it repaired by our local dealership. We will then

deduct the repair-amount from your security deposit.  If the

damage is greater than the $500 security deposit, you will be

billed for anything additional up to a total combined amount of $1000

which must be paid in no longer than 30-days upon receiving the bill.

Q: What if the ATV breaks down while I'm using it?

A: You must contact Big Jake's ATV Rentals immediately.  We will attempt to

remedy the issue over the phone.  If the problem is beyond what can be done

over the phone, we will send somebody to pick it up and will issue a replacement

if there is a replacement available.  During the time you are down, we will issue

a per-day refund. So if we cannot get a replacement ATV or cannot fix the original

ATV, we will issue a refund for the day of the breakdown, as well as any remaining

time you have it rented for.

Q: What if the weather is bad while I'm renting the ATV and I'm unable

to fully utilize it?

A: We take into consideration what effects the weather has on a good ride, and

reserve the right to issue a discount, gift certificate, or some other form of

promotion to help ease the misfortune.  Keep in mind, we don't control the weather so

we are under NO obligation to issue ANY discounts/refunds.
